In November 2019, I had the pleasure of covering the annual event for the Federal Circuit Bar Association. The FCBA is a national organization for the bar of the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, organized to unite the different groups that practice within the legal community of the Federal Circuit.
Each year, FCBA sponsors an afternoon lecture and an evening dinner. The afternoon lecturer was Noel Franscisco, the 48th Solicitor General of the United States. The black-tie affair included speeches by Alexandria Garcia of World Central Kitchen and Jamie Underwood and American Historian. The evening culminated in the presentation of the Helen Nies Memorial Award and the Hutchison Writing Contest Award, each given to a distinguished law student.
