I had a fairly traditional start to my career. After college (BS Business), I worked in training and support for a small tech company on a product for radio and TV stations. My job required a lot of travel, which proved a good way to ease into adulthood.
After graduate school (MA Economics), I was back in tech, this time writing technical documentation, eventually earning another graduate degree (MS Computer Science) at night. I spent years writing code, managing projects, and managing people - all of it stuff no one ever saw. Just know that when you pick up a landline and you hear a dial tone, every single time, I had something to do with it!
While my children were very young, I saw how they loved to look at pictures of themselves, especially pictures with their parents, grandparents, and other relatives. Over time, I came to believe that when children see themselves in portraits on the walls of their home, they feel loved, valued, important, and part of something larger than themselves.
Now I use my education and skills in my own business to help you provide that same feeling to your children. We work together in a stress-free, collaborative way, to create art of your family, customized for your home. I support you through the process, help you design your art, deliver it to you, and install it if you want.
You love your kids. Let’s work together to put love on your walls.
My studio is in historic Foxhall Village, the charming Tudor neighborhood nested between Georgetown and The Palisades and near the French and German Embassies. I am adjacent to Glover Archbold Park, which has many beautiful spots for spring and fall location sessions. The Georgetown University Campus is also within walking distance.
